Do you need a sea kayak certification (Wet Card) to rent sea kayaks in Norway?

No, Of Course Not! The best and most serious sea kayak outfitters in Norway will not require you to have a sea kayak certification 'wet card' to rent a kayak and go out without a guide. Anyone can buy and paddle a sea kayak in Norway without having to first complete any form of sea kayaking certification. Therefore, no sea kayak certification is needed to do a self-guided trip in Norway. And this applies to Norway’s entire coastline. Also, insurance companies do not require this as a prerequisite to insure adventure outfitters in Norway. Kayak More Tomorrow was the first professional sea kayak outfitter in Norway; we started outfitting self-guided groups 9 years before the Norwegian ‘wet card’ was conceived. (The Norwegian ‘wet card’ was conceived as a money grab for the Norwegian Canoe Association, who wanted to cash in on the growing popularity of recreational sea kayaking. It was not first and foremost safety measure as one would think; this still applies today.)

Do you need previous sea kayak experience to do a self-guided trip?

Not necessarily, we have good venues that are well suited for beginners to do a fun, safe self-guided sea kayak trip. As well our self-guided protocol will provide you all the information and support you need to feel safe while out on your trip.

Do you offer a transport service?

Yes, one-way trips are our best-selling program. We do pick- ups and drop-offs as well as airport transfers, etc.

Can you leave your excess luggage with us while you are out on your trip?

Yes, for sure. We will keep your luggage in a secure, locked storage room for you while you are out on your trip.

Do you rent sea kayaks by the hour?

No, we do not have a sea kayak rental program. We have a self-guided sea kayak trip program that’s starts with a trip duration of a minimum of 3 days.

Does Kayak More tomorrow offer drop-in services?

No, advanced bookings are a must for all our programs; usually 1 month prior to your outing is the minimum we will accept a booking.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations
Our sea kayak outfitting is extremely popular, and we must turn down several groups each year due to our advanced bookings. Therefore, the following refund schedule is necessary and applies to all outfitting program cancellations.
Upon receipt of written notice of cancellation, the balance of your outfitting fee will be refunded per the following schedule:
Cancellation Fees (% of trip price)
1. 186+ days or more before departure: full refund less a € 500 cancellation fee.
2. 150-185 days: full refund less a € 750 cancellation fee.
3. 120-149 days: 60 %
4. 90-119 days: 80%
5. 89-0 days: 100%
