The View is Worth Every Step! From KMT Ålesund we cruise through the cobblestone covered streets uncovering intricacies of Ålesund’s art nouveau architecture, passing churches and crossing bridges. Riding the length of Asp Island, we cross Steinvåg Sound and make a right heading out around the outer edge of Hessa Island passing beaches, pasturelands, and historic installations from world war II; with the Atlantic on our right we gaze out over the deep blue waters as the indomitable ocean becomes a fjord.   Half way down Hessa Fjord we arrive at the trailhead to Sugar Summit. Leaving our bicycles we set out on foot for the summit.  The trail is well trodden as we make our way diligently upwards to the summit and the 360o view of Western Norway and it’s Art Nouveau city. We know that getting going is what it is all about, so all our tours begin with your guide meeting you either at your hotel (place of residence) or at the cruise terminal; from here we will take you to our launching site. You can leave any extra bags, clothing, etc. that you don’t want tot take with you on the trip with us. Also, if you have forgotten anything like sun screen, water, etc. we will help you out.
